Mission

The Head of Department for Air Traffic Management and Aerodromes is responsible for:

Ensuring the regulation of the Air Traffic Management and Air Navigation Services, for the military activities, and the definition of the air operations rules for the military aircraft;

Promoting the auditing and supervision of the above mentioned Air Traffic Management and Air Navigation Services;

Ensuring the regulation of the Air Search and Rescue Service;

Ensuring the certification of the personnel performing military aeronautical duties, except for the personnel associated with aircraft maintenance;

Ensuring the certification of the aeronautical infrastructures of the aerodromes dedicated for exclusive military use;

Ensuring the regulation of the policing of the national air space;

Ensuring the assignment of registries for the military aircraft.
